This shark feeds on small organisms that swim in large quantities in the sea - plankton. Her huge mouth opens very wide, as does the whale's mouth. And her mouth is not on the ventral side, like other sharks, but in front, like most fish.

The ugliest fish

Among the fish, there are also real monsters. Look at these amazing creatures. Their unusual appearance actually turns out to be extremely useful: some have very large eyes to peer into the darkness of the sea abyss, others disguise themselves as rocks and the environment, while others open their huge mouths to swallow as much food as possible.

Interesting fact:Some fish living in the sea abyss in complete darkness have a special luminous organ - a "fishing rod", at the end of which is a "flashlight". The light of the "flashlight" attracts the smaller fish that these deep-water fish feed on.
