Rodents for experiments
For the two-week experiments, 24 rats were selected. The animals were divided into 4 groups.
Here rodents experienced the usual, traditional load, as on our planet Earth. In this group they were "suspended" in the air. For this, chains were used. Actions made it possible to imitate the conditions of the planet Mars. Subjects were also placed on a red planet, but fed with useful supplements containing resveratrol. Here, a group of rodents was a control.
During the experiment, scientists found that rats from the second group showed muscle loss, and their grip strength decreased. The results in the third study group of rats were better. The experimental muscles remained in good shape, the weight did not increase, and the grip remained the same as in Earth.
“Treatment with resveratrol has an effect on muscle growth in animals with diabetes or without an increased load due to the fact that there is an increased sensitivity to insulin, and glucose can be absorbed by muscle fibers. Based on this, it was concluded that in moderate amounts, the daily rate of resveratrol will make it possible to reducemuscle resolution in space, ”Morto explained in detail.
